Better Payments Solutions has updated its zero-fee credit card processing program, adding point-of-sale support to help U.S. merchants implement a cash discount model, manage implementation requirements, and reduce payment-processing costs.
Oswego, United States, November 7, 2026 /NewsNetwork/ -- Better Payments Solutions has updated its zero-fee credit card processing program to include point-of-sale (POS) support for U.S. merchants adopting a cash discount model. The program combines payment technology, implementation guidance, and customer-facing disclosures to help businesses manage processing costs while continuing to accept card payments.

This update comes as payment-processing expenses continue to affect business profitability. An EBizCharge survey of 650 business decision-makers found that payment-processing costs average 3.65% of total revenue, with nearly one in three respondents reporting that these fees account for at least 5% of their revenue. For merchants handling frequent transactions, these costs can compound quickly, prompting many to explore alternative pricing models.
Better Payments Solutions offers a cash discount model in which customers pay a lower price when using cash, while the standard posted price applies to card transactions. The company provides payment technology for in-store, online, and hybrid operations. Clear disclosures and consistent pricing are part of the model, so customers understand their options before completing a transaction.
Implementation support includes POS configuration, payment-system coordination, customer-facing signage, and 24/7 live assistance. These services help merchants apply discounts accurately and keep displayed prices, checkout totals, and receipts consistent. Better Payments Solutions also notes that its cash discount model can be used across all 50 states when applicable card-network requirements are followed.
“Business owners need to understand how payment acceptance costs affect their margins and how pricing choices influence the customer experience,” a Better Payments Solutions spokesperson said. “Clear disclosures and accurate POS configuration are important parts of evaluating whether a cash discount program fits a business.”
Better Payments Solutions states that participating small businesses may save an average of $7,500 annually, with some reporting savings of up to $100,000 per year. Results vary by transaction volume, processing expenses, and individual business circumstances.
In addition to cash discounting, Better Payments Solutions provides merchant accounts and payment-processing services for businesses across different sales channels. The company offers guidance on program implementation and states that separate advance registration with Visa or Mastercard is not required when following applicable network requirements.

Long before Moe Harukawa was killed, she lived in fear. The 21-year-old shop assistant had reported her ex-boyfriend to police and a court had ordered him to stay away from her. Yet weeks later, Taiki Hirokawa, 26, walked into Harukawa’s workplace – a packed Pokemon store in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro district – and stabbed her repeatedly in the neck and torso before turning the knife he was carrying on himself. Both later died in hospital. Harukawa’s gruesome murder in March at the hands of a man who...
When her prescription for Mounjaro became too expensive, Bey* did what a growing number of Malaysians are doing: she found a cheaper vial online. The 34-year-old from Kuala Lumpur started on the weight-loss drug about a year ago and hasn’t looked back since. “I didn’t feel like eating, I didn’t feel hungry,” she said, recalling flying to Jakarta for a “food trip” recently during which she barely ate. Reviews on Threads and TikTok led her to online sellers offering “tirzepatide”, Mounjaro’s...

The driver’s seat was empty and the steering wheel was turning on its own. Sitting in the back of a Pony.ai robotaxi in Shenzhen, I felt a flicker of nervousness. But as the car glided into traffic, the initial unease gave way to an appreciation of something far less futuristic: the blissful absence of small talk with the driver. My test rides in two of China’s major tech hubs – with Pony.ai in Shenzhen and Baidu’s Apollo Go in Beijing – offered a first-hand experience of how autonomous vehicles...
Preliminary results showed the right-wing bloc slightly ahead but no clear winner after an election that was dominated by economic concerns.
New Zealand’s ruling centre-right National Party and main opposition Labour were nearly deadlocked in the popular vote after initial counting in the nationwide general election on Saturday. Results from the Electoral Commission show that with more than 95 per cent of the ballots counted, both parties were polling just short of 30 per cent of the popular vote, with just a few thousand votes separating the two. A projection from New Zealand’s Electoral Commission showed the current three-party...
Malaysia’s king warned on Saturday that any attempt to challenge his order letting former prime minister Najib Razak go from jail to house arrest could amount to defying his decree, a day after authorities delayed Najib’s transfer. Najib has been in jail since 2022 after being found guilty of corruption and money laundering in a case linked to a multibillion-dollar scandal at state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad. He has consistently denied wrongdoing. He was due to be transferred home on...
New Delhi ranked as the world’s most polluted major city on Saturday morning, according to Swiss group IQAir, as the Indian capital faced severe pollution forecasts a day before Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. India has ordered schools in and around Delhi to offer online classes and encouraged people to work from home ahead of Diwali on Sunday, which is usually marked by the widespread use of firecrackers that further worsen the air quality. IQAir ranked Delhi first for air pollution...

Tens of thousands of workers have marched through Dhaka and the key industrial towns of Gazipur, Ashulia and Narayanganj in recent days demanding higher pay. Protests turned violent in several hubs, with factories vandalised and roads...
