YoungLong, a South Korean health supplement brand founded by pharmacists, is strengthening its presence in China as its flagship product, YoungLong K-Melain Kombucha, reached No. 2 in the health supplement category rankings on Douyin, China's version of TikTok.
Korea, Republic of, November 6, 2026 -- YoungLong hosted two consecutive livestream shopping events on Douyin on October 26 and 27. During the October 26 broadcast featuring a Chinese influencer, YoungLong K-Melain Kombucha remained among the top 10 products in the health supplement category for most of the session, reaching a peak ranking of No. 2. The livestream alone generated approximately CNY 370,000 (US$52,000) in gross merchandise value (GMV).

The following day, YoungLong partnered with another Chinese influencer for a five-hour livestream, reaching a peak ranking of No. 8. Across the two days, the livestreams generated more than 3,000 orders and approximately CNY 500,000 (US$70,000) in total GMV, highlighting the brand's growing consumer demand in China.
YoungLong K-Melain Kombucha is one of the brand's flagship products supporting its international expansion. Developed with the expertise of Korean pharmacists, the supplement features a carefully designed formulation that differentiates it from conventional kombucha products.
Formulated with potassium and bromelain, YoungLong K-Melain Kombucha was developed with modern dietary habits in mind, particularly the need for nutritional balance in diets that are often high in sodium. Its convenient kombucha format has attracted interest among consumers seeking products that complement their daily wellness and beauty-from-within routines.
YoungLong has continued to demonstrate strong performance in the Chinese market, building on its previous success. During a Douyin livestream in August, the brand attracted approximately 248,000 cumulative viewers and generated around CNY 1.6 million (US$225,000) in GMV, securing the No. 1 position in the platform's health supplement sales popularity rankings.
Since its launch in China in June 2026, YoungLong K-Melain Kombucha has surpassed 30,000 boxes in cumulative sales, equivalent to 210,000 individual sachets, within approximately five months. The milestone reflects the product's growing popularity and YoungLong's expanding presence in China's health supplement market.
A YoungLong representative said, "We are pleased to see that products developed with the expertise of Korean pharmacists are receiving positive responses not only in Korea but also among Chinese consumers. We will continue to introduce products tailored to local dietary habits and wellness needs, while strengthening consumer trust through ongoing communication and engagement."
YoungLong has also established a growing presence in Southeast Asia, having been recognized as a "Rising Brand Seller" on Shopee, a leading e-commerce platform, for its performance in markets including Singapore and Malaysia. Building on its success across Asia, YoungLong plans to further expand its distribution channels and strengthen connections with consumers in China and other key international markets.
