Women's UV400 Sunglasses for Everyday Wear: Eyewear Collection Announced

Oct 5, 2026

All Star Shady has announced a women's sunglasses collection offering UV400 protection across multiple styles, including cat-eye, polarized, and reading frames designed for daily outdoor wear.

Portland, United States, October 5, 2026 /PressCable/ -- All Star Shady, an eyewear retailer, has announced its women's sunglasses collection for everyday wear, with every pair offering UV400 protection that blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays outdoors.

More information is available at https://allstarshady.com/collections/womens-sunglasses

The announcement follows World Health Organization guidance recommending sunglasses that block 99 to 100% of ultraviolet radiation. The organization notes that about 10% of the estimated 15 million people worldwide who are blind from cataracts may owe the condition to UV exposure. All Star Shady says every pair in the collection meets this standard, with UV400 lenses designed to make full protection part of daily wear rather than an occasional precaution.

"Many people reach for sunglasses only on the brightest summer days, but UV exposure happens year-round. We curated this collection so women can find a pair they want to wear daily, without compromising on protection," a spokesperson for All Star Shady said.

The collection spans several styles for different tastes and routines. A vintage cat-eye frame with upswept corners uses lightweight composite for all-day comfort and comes in nine colors, with an ergonomic shape that stays secure during activity. Square frames, offered in five shades, feature polycarbonate lenses with broad eye coverage, while a '90s-inspired oval design adds reinforced metal hinges and widened temples.

For glare-heavy settings, polarized models reduce reflections from roads, vehicles, and water. A classic Hollywood-style pair combines a two-tone frame with gray polarized lenses rated to block 99.99% of UVA and UVB rays, and the oval style uses TAC polarized lenses rated to block 100%. A fishing model pairs scratch-resistant lenses with a soft-grip, self-adjusting nose pad that keeps the frame steady on the water.

Two reading styles bring magnification outdoors. Full-lens reading sunglasses pair a metal and plastic frame with scratch-resistant lenses in strengths from +1.00 to +4.00. A rounded bifocal model integrates a magnifying segment into UV400 lenses, set in a polycarbonate frame designed to ease nose pressure and supplied with a cleaning cloth, glasses box, and bag. Both suit books, phone screens, and other close-up tasks at the beach or outdoors.

Prices range from about $22 to $128. Eligible U.S. orders arrive in an estimated four to seven business days, and returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery.

Why India’s missile deals in Central Asia matter to Russia and China

India has sold its Akash air-defence missile system to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, giving it a foothold in Central Asia as it seeks to become a major global arms exporter. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh confirmed the latest sales on Thursday last week, hinting at interest from elsewhere as he called the Akash “one of our success stories”. Developed by India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation, the Akash is a home-grown, short-range surface-to-air missile system that can hit...

Southeast Asia starts to rethink its AI data centre boom: ‘at what cost?’

Southeast Asian governments are learning some hard truths about the data centre boom they spent years working to attract, analysts say – it promises jobs, digital infrastructure and a foothold in the AI economy, but the rapid buildout is also straining power grids, land and regulatory systems. “There is this enthusiasm to attract investments, but now it raises the question: at what cost and at what speed?” said policy researcher Mark Manantan, a research fellow for the Centre for Global Security...

Hong Kong lawmakers say 5-year tax incentive too short to entice major innovative firms

Hong Kong lawmakers have backed the government’s proposed tax incentives for large innovative companies, but many said on Monday that the planned five-year concession period is too short to attract major firms to establish headquarters or expand operations in the city. Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu in his policy address last month said the government planned to submit a bill introducing preferential profits tax rates of either 5 per cent or 8.25 per cent, which was half of the city’s standard...
