Fitness Fahrenheit has released an updated form of its whey protein guide. This time around, the guide teaches women how to use the supplement to lose weight without looking like a bodybuilder.

More information can be found at https://fitnessfahrenheit.com/how-to-use-whey-protein-for-weight-loss

The updated guide was written by Army veteran and founder of Fitness Fahrenheit, Koji Preston. In addressing his target audience, he first focuses on disproving the myth that whey protein is only for bulking up on muscle.

Losing weight is hard and burning fat encompasses more than one variable, such as eating right, working out, and managing one’s time in everything. Achieving these goals, the guide explains, can also be about supplementation. This is where whey protein plays a part.

According to Koji, many individuals “think whey protein is just for bodybuilders and hardcore strength trainers. So not true. Whey protein can be used by you. Yes, you a female who wants to look lean and feminine and all that good stuff”.

The myth about whey protein having been dealt with, the guide moves on to describe the components of the supplement. It explains that whey is actually the liquid part of milk that gets separated during the cheese-making process. This liquid portion is then turned into powder which becomes the whey protein that is used for muscle gain and weight loss.

During the transformation process from the liquid to the powder state, 95% of lactose is removed from the supplement. As such, individuals who are lactose intolerant need not worry about whey protein having an adverse effect on their bodies.

Among the reasons listed in the guide on why whey protein is effective for weight loss is the fact that it makes one feel full, as has the potential to lower sugar cravings by 50%. Added to this, it is easy to incorporate into one’s diet. One can either choose to mix it with milk or just plain water.

The most important reason, however, is the fact that whey protein helps to build and maintain lean muscle. These muscles in turn help to burn fat in one’s body. Meaning, the more lean muscle mass in one’s body the less body fat one has.

This is all dependent on how the supplement is used and what one’s fitness regimen looks like, Koji cautions. As such, he recommends that those looking to lose body fat and maintain lean muscle mass consume whey protein at least 30 minutes before or after workouts.

The guide concludes with further suggestions on what foods are best to mix with whey protein for the best results.
