Tsquared Personal Training is a private fitness studio now offering GTS – Gravity Training System – workouts for men and women of all ages who can use their lunchtime breaks for brief but intensive workout sessions. The HIIT program is designed for novices and led by Troy Tyrell, a certified personal trainer and former student at EnerChanges and INFOFIT, where he learned physio corrective techniques and postural analysis techniques to help clients’ injuries.

Tsquared Personal Training, which is located in downtown Vancouver, now provides one-on-one and small group training with 4 people or less for individuals looking to boost their energy levels, increase their strength, and improve their endurance – in as little as one hour per week. Mr. Tyrell’s commitment to safety and proper form, coupled with his experience under national powerlifting record holder, Jody Cranston, ensures that clients realize optimum results in the shortest amount of time possible.

High-intensity interval training, or HIIT, is a longstanding fitness trend that promises – and studies confirm – a wide array of health and physical performance benefits from gaining muscle to reducing blood pressure. The short, efficient, full-body workouts enabled by the GTS (Gravity Training System) will lead to fast and noticeable physical changes and results. Clients also claim the workouts help to improve individuals’ mental clarity and focus. Furthermore, because they are low-impact, the wear and tear on the body – including bones and joints – is minimized.

Tsquared Personal Training’s GTS program simulates weightlifting, but without the weights: participants perform resistance exercises with their arms, legs, and core – pushing and pulling their own body weight on a moveable ramp that can be adjusted for intensity levels against gravity.

The private studio provides morning and after-work, as well as lunchtime, GTS sessions in small groups or as part of a dedicated and personalized 1:1 fitness training program. Mr. Tyrell works with clients to establish their goals and explain the hurdles that lie ahead and push beyond. His professional emphasis is on the client’s frame of mind, as well as the client’s form – which not only helps to ensure the participant’s safety but is key to facilitating peak performance.

One client commented: “I’m really thrilled with my progress. Groceries are so much easier to carry, my posture has improved so much, I’ve had comments from family members and friends about how good I look or how strong I am. Even my cardio has improved which I did not expect. You really will see a big difference in a short amount of time.”

India’s proposed social media ban for under-18s wins parents’ backing

Digangana Mukherjee, a mother of a six-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy, has banned television at her home in the Indian city of Mysore because she does not want her children to become addicted to watching content on screen. Authorities in Thailand have uncovered an audacious scheme involving hundreds of metres of internet cable sent over the Thai border to keep a suspected Myanmar scam compound online, after finding two ramshackle village homes using enough daily bandwidth to power an entire village. Officers raided the homes in Nong Lu, a Thai border village in Kanchanaburi province, which is the gateway to the Three Pagodas Pass in Myanmar – now a notorious hub for cyber scammers. Many scam centre leaders have...
