Univs brings university search, online applications, agency discovery and student services into one destination.
United Arab Emirates, November 8, 2026 -- DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – November 5, 2026 – Univs announced an expansion of its study abroad platform, connecting international students with universities, education agencies and practical services through a centralized online experience. The company reports listings for more than 22,000 educational institutions and more than 230,000 programmes across 57 countries.

The platform is designed to simplify a process that often requires students to consult university websites, agency offices and separate service providers. Through univs.com, users can compare study options, submit eligible applications and monitor their progress in one account.
“Studying abroad should start with one search, not twenty open tabs,” said Arshia Movahedi, founder of Univs. “We started as an admissions service, and we kept seeing the same problem: students, universities and agencies were all looking for each other in different places.”
University and programme listings provide information on tuition, entry requirements, intake periods and accreditation. Search filters cover destinations, subjects, academic levels and teaching languages. Listings marked “Apply Now” support online applications, while the My Univs account provides application stages, document checklists, messages and invoices.
Univs says students pay no Univs agency, consultancy or service fee because the platform receives payments from universities. Fees imposed directly by institutions may still apply and are displayed before payment. Universities can list programmes without charge, with additional Premium and partnership options available.
The expansion also includes Univs Agencies, a directory where education agencies can present their offices, destinations and services to prospective students. Agency profiles help students identify providers offering local assistance and contact them directly.
Through the Univs Marketplace, agencies can offer fixed-price student services, including accommodation support, airport transfers, translation, insurance and assistance with visa or residence-permit processes. The company says orders are processed through its platform and sellers are checked before receiving a Verified label. Agencies may also apply to become partners submitting student applications.
“Good agencies do valuable work, but they are hard for students in other countries to find,” Movahedi said.
Univs states that listings draw on official sources and institutional information, with source references and review dates displayed. Admission and immigration decisions remain the responsibility of universities and relevant authorities. Sponsored placements are identified as such.
The platform's expansion brings together educational discovery, application management and service booking, while allowing participating institutions and agencies to connect with prospective students. Availability and individual service terms should be checked before submitting applications or purchasing services.

Japanese police arrested a 33-year-old man who admitted to stabbing a bookshop worker in Osaka on Sunday, a spokesman said, adding that the suspect said he “held a grudge against society”. The man, identified as Satoshi Okamoto, allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab the worker – who called police immediately afterwards – at a branch of national chain Maruzen & Junkudo in the heart of Japan’s second largest city. Police did not elaborate on the victim’s condition, but there was no fear for his...

Artificial intelligence models will soon be powerful enough to master biology, presenting both benefits and serious risks, Tencent Holdings’ chief AI scientist and former OpenAI star researcher Vinces Yao Shunyu said during a rare public appearance on Saturday. The assessment comes as frontier AI systems are increasingly being applied to medicine and biology, which could accelerate discovery of new drugs and other treatments. However, experts also warn that malicious actors could use AI to...
Sony is building an anime empire, betting that global fandom can fuel growth for both the company and the country as foreign rivals and A.I. swarm the scene.
Humanoid robots represent the next frontier for Pudu Robotics, according to founder and CEO Felix Zhang Tao, as the global commercial robotics leader takes on Elon Musk’s Tesla in the growing sector and explores manufacturing in Europe, its largest overseas market. “It’s definitely a competitor, but a long-term one,” Zhang told the South China Morning Post in a recent interview, adding that Tesla was a “very good” rival whose high profile had driven innovation and broadened market awareness in...
Washington’s decision to upgrade Pakistan’s F-16 fighter jets has drawn accusations of double standards from critics in India, who question why the United States is strengthening a nuclear-armed ally while waging war against Iran over its nuclear programme. Although the US$686 million military modernisation package does not include nuclear weapons, analysts say that improvements to the fighter jets’ navigation, communications and survivability could boost Pakistan’s existing nuclear strike...
When Japan’s “symbol of affordability” Uniqlo decided to increase the price of its basic socks last month, it sparked a backlash before the clothing titan made an immediate U-turn. That came after Italian-style family restaurant chain Saizeriya issued an almost grovelling apology as it decided to add 20 yen (US$0.13) to the price of its trademark Milanese Doria, lamenting its “lack of effort”. The very public angst, including in one of the world’s most recognisable clothing brands, highlights...
India’s top court decreed that only more environmentally friendly fireworks could be set off this weekend, citing air quality concerns. But environmental activists call it a “green wash.”
For most of his life, Osman Uki lived in a world dictated by the sun, relying on kerosene and leftover cooking oil to light his home in a remote indigenous village in Malaysia. That changed in April when solar power finally reached Kampung Bertang in the state of Pahang, allowing families to power electric lights, refrigerators and rice cookers. For Osman, one of the biggest changes is what happens after sunset. “We are happy with the light we have at night. The kids can read at night now. We...
Cooking and bathing became difficult when taps ran dry in Batam, an Indonesian island where residents are protesting against data centres springing up to power the global artificial intelligence boom. The area had suffered a “long drought” caused by low rainfall, the local water utility operator said, as a strong El Nino cycle exacerbates dry weather. But, as in other countries, anger has been directed at the data centres, warehouse-like facilities that keep apps and AI tools running, with water...
Long before Moe Harukawa was killed, she lived in fear. The 21-year-old shop assistant had reported her ex-boyfriend to police and a court had ordered him to stay away from her. Yet weeks later, Taiki Hirokawa, 26, walked into Harukawa’s workplace – a packed Pokemon store in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro district – and stabbed her repeatedly in the neck and torso before turning the knife he was carrying on himself. Both later died in hospital. Harukawa’s gruesome murder in March at the hands of a man who...
When her prescription for Mounjaro became too expensive, Bey* did what a growing number of Malaysians are doing: she found a cheaper vial online. The 34-year-old from Kuala Lumpur started on the weight-loss drug about a year ago and hasn’t looked back since. “I didn’t feel like eating, I didn’t feel hungry,” she said, recalling flying to Jakarta for a “food trip” recently during which she barely ate. Reviews on Threads and TikTok led her to online sellers offering “tirzepatide”, Mounjaro’s...
