Traditional Bone Graft Implant Strategies for Edentulous Patients, Book Released

Aug 25, 2023

Dr. Saj Jivraj, the founder of the Anacapa Dental Art Institute, has released a new clinician's guide that provides detailed step-by-step descriptions of both traditional graftless concepts and zygomatic implant strategies for edentulous patients.

Oxnard, United States - August 25, 2023 /PressCable/ —

As part of a new series of clinician’s guides from the British Dental Journal (BDJ) and British Dental Association (BDA), this new book released by Dr. Saj Jivraj provides insight into advanced techniques for implant dentistry and prosthodontics.

More information about new clinician’s guides from the BDJ and BDA, and the new book from Dr. Saj Jivraj, Graftless Solutions for the Edentulous Patient, can be found at https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-32847-3

Now in a revised and improved second edition, the new book from Dr. Jivraj explains both the rationale and best practices for rehabilitating fully edentulous patients. The new book explores both traditional graftless techniques and zygomatic implant strategies that may be used in situations where traditional options fail to provide the required support.

The book provides detailed information throughout the entire process, beginning with treatment planning and the biomechanics relevant to each treatment option. It also includes step-by-step instructions for the immediate loading of a full arch restoration, using either traditional tilted or zygomatic implant techniques.

While the clinician’s guide focuses primarily on the implant process, it also provides insight into several relevant topics, such as the materials that may be used for a full arch restoration, and the laboratory requirements for working with each material. Readers will also find comprehensive information about the required maintenance for each material, and how to manage complications from either the implant process or the prosthetic itself.

This new clinician’s guide builds on Dr. Jivraj’s previously published work, Treatment Planning In Implant Dentistry, which is also available from the BDJ.
