Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - September 11, 2023 —

Dortmund, Germany - AIRSCREAM UK proudly announces the official launch of the award-winning AirsPops ONE USE E30 (known as ONE USE Eco outside of the UK and EU), at Intertabac, the largest tobacco industry trade fair in the world at Messe Dortmund, Germany on September 14-16.

Disposable e-cigarette is the popular quit tool for cigarette users due to its convenience and ease of use nature. However, unlike other vape devices which can be recharged and refilled for multiple use, its disposable nature is said to have contributed to an electronic waste crisis. In 2022, disposable vapes were estimated at a market value of USD$6.34 billion*. This potentially means hundreds of millions of used devices could end up in landfills to contaminate soil and water sources around the world.

Discarding, or worse, incinerating these components is grossly wasteful as battery prices continue to soar to meet rising global demand. At the same time, recycling the existing disposable designs are difficult without damaging their internal components.

Knowing that the limitation and challenges in the disposable e-cigarettes landscape, AIRSCREAM UK is determined to rewrite a new chapter on disposable e-cigarettes.

The result of several years of research and development arising from environmental concerns surrounding disposable e-cigarettes, ONE USE E30 is the world’s first true disposable vape recycling system. Through its innovative modular design, components can easily be retrieved, sorted and reused or recycled accordingly.

For its pioneering achievements in sustainability for the e-cigarette industry, ONE USE E30 has already won two awards even before its official launch, namely the Red Dot Award for Product Design 2023, and Gold Award winner of the 2023 French Design Award. ONE USE E30 is AIRSCREAM UK’s second Red Dot Award: having previously won the award for the same category in 2021 for the revolutionary bottle. by AirsPops.

“AirsPops ONE USE E30 is a new ground-breaking design by AIRSCREAM that actively reuses the electronic components as part of our sustainability strategy and business model. It is our attempt at making real change. Although functionally identical to existing disposable vapes, ONE USE E30 is a shift from an ingrained throwaway culture towards reusability without sacrificing the convenience and ease that disposables provide,” said Sam Ong, Co-Founder & CEO at AIRSCREAM GROUP.

ONE USE E30 will showcase at the AIRSCREAM UK booth at Hall 2, No: 2.A10. on September 14-16, in Messe Dortmund. At InterTabac, AirsPops ONE USE E30 will debut with 5 attractive flavours for UK & EU markets: Pink Crystal, Blueberry Slush, Mango Pineapple, Peach Ice & Ocean 11 Toba with 19mg nicotine in 2ml devices. Visitors can also browse the entire range of AIRSCREAM’s signature and latest devices and flavours from the 313 and INK LORDS ranges at the AIRSCREAM booth.

Filipinos split on Marcos’ South China Sea handling amid row over Jing Quan’s remarks

Filipinos are almost evenly divided over the Marcos administration’s handling of the maritime dispute with China, even as nearly three in four favour diplomacy over confrontation, according to a new survey. That preference has taken on added significance after recent remarks by China’s ambassador to Manila sparked a diplomatic row ahead of November’s Asean summit. The feud underscored the challenge of managing tensions with Beijing, and increasingly hostile rhetoric could make the diplomatic...

Novel idea: Thailand, Vietnam take books on the road in reading drive

Tran Dai Thang spotted two young people who had picked up their drinks at a pop-up cafe beside his travelling bookstore and were about to leave, so he called them over. One of them said they did not read books, Thang recalled. But he kept the conversation going and eventually persuaded the visitor to buy a book for 10,000 dong (US$0.40) – heavily discounted from its original price of 45,000 dong. For Thang, an artist and publisher, the small sale mattered far less than the fact that someone who...

For the 62-year-old Kawasaki resident, who spoke on condition that her surname be withheld, this was not how she envisioned her later years. “He worked very long hours, including on weekends, and I was always busy taking...

Singapore embraces AI for cyber defence, with one caveat: breach transparency

Singapore is turning to major technology firms to strengthen its cyber defences, even as it presses them for greater transparency over security breaches – a balancing act facing regional governments as they seek to harness artificial intelligence while guarding against the risks it introduces. Those risks were highlighted by an AI agent linked to OpenAI that gained unauthorised access to files on an Australian government website earlier this year, raising questions over how quickly companies...

On October 18, Anthropic, the artificial intelligence (AI) laboratory preparing one of the largest listings in history, committed 5 per cent of its shares to a public benefit fund. The next day, Elon Musk promised one SpaceX share, next year, for “every kid in America” – about US$10.6 billion for some 73 million children. The offers differ in who holds the shares. Anthropic’s will sit in an entity the company owns, spent on the public’s behalf; Musk’s would land, by a route he has not explained,...
