SNH Capital Partners (“SNH”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Ohio-based OPENonline, a leading provider of employment background checks and investigative services. OPENonline will join SNH’s other portfolio companies in the background screening space and will operate under the Universal Background Screening brand.
OPENonline is an accredited, leading provider of national and international background screening solutions. The company offers a broad range of employment, drug screening and investigative services, including SelectHire® and I-9 Manager. OPENonline is one of the select group of companies accredited by the National Association of Professional Background Screeners Credentialing Council for compliance with the Background Screening Agency Accreditation Program.
“We are excited to have OpenOnline join Universal. The synergy was obvious - both companies are deeply committed to providing an outstanding experience for our customers,” said Dan Filby, CEO of Universal. “Both companies are members of the select 6% of background screening providers that are PBSA-accredited and both share a culture of delighting our customers.”
Having now closed on its fourth acquisition in the background screening industry, this merger represents the next phase of Universal's development as a market leader. SNH will continue to bring operational, financial and strategic expertise in the sector to support the combined platform's product innovation and expansion strategy going forward. The integration furthers Universal’s commitment to producing a better candidate experience and helps recruiters move candidates through the hiring process more quickly.
“The combination of OPENonline and Universal joins two brands with a focus on compliance and a commitment to high-touch customer service. OPENonline's caliber of service is demonstrated in the length and quality of their customer relationships and we are excited to continue the legacy that their founders have built,” said Ramya Varma, Vice President at SNH Capital Partners. “We look forward to continuing to partner with high-quality, founder-led businesses to build an industry-leading organization that delivers value through customer-centricity and technological innovation.”
