Sirona Biochem Partners With Wuxi AppTec To Begin Clinical Trials On Breakthrough Anti-Aging Compound

Jun 22, 2022

Sirona Biochem plans to immediately being clinical trials on its breakthrough TFC-1326 anti-aging compound once preparations are completed.

Vancouver, British Columbia Jun 22, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Sirona Biochem Corp. (TSX-V: SBM) (FSE: ZSB) (OTC: SRBCF) has signed a manufacturing agreement with Wuxi AppTec to produce its revolutionary anti-aging / anti-wrinkle compound, TFC-1326. The small-scale production of the compound will be the first step in the implementation of clinical trials for the powerful active ingredient, which has been shown to be effective in reversing the aging effects on the skin.

The company and the team of scientists at its wholly-owned subsidiary TFChem have spent years developing TFC-1326, which has shown immense potential in eliminating fine wrinkles. Strong data in initial preclinical studies have warranted the move forward to clinical trials, particularly as there is no existing compound yet on the $271 billion anti-aging markets that offer the same age-reversing effects on the skin as TFC-1326.

Sirona Biochem announced that it is now in advanced discussions with a leading clinical trial laboratory to take the compound to the next phase. The company said clinical trials would begin immediately after the planning stage is completed. The trial process and other necessary steps such as safety work and formulation are now being organized.

Sirona Biochem CEO Dr. Howard Verrico said TFC-1326 offers results that all other anti-aging and anti-wrinkle products are incapable of replicating. He added that the company's compound reverses age-related damage to the skin, thereby returning its youthful appearance.

Verrico said the goal of the clinical trials is to demonstrate the potential of TFC-1326 and its ability to treat age-damaged skin. He claimed that the compound might be a good replacement or a supplemental treatment to dermal filler injections such as BOTOX®.

The announcement came days after Sirona Biochem had signed a global exclusive licensing agreement with AbbVie's Allergan Aesthetics for its breakthrough TFC-1326 skincare compound. Sirona Biochem said TFC-1326 is yet another opportunity for the company to showcase the limitless potential of its fluorine-based carbohydrate-binding platform technology. The company said it is now also actively pursuing another lucrative licensing agreement for its anti-aging product.

Sirona Biochem is a cosmetic ingredient and drug discovery company with proprietary carbohydrate-based platform technology. Sirona specializes in stabilizing carbohydrate molecules using fluorine atoms with the goal of improving active ingredient efficacy and safety. New compounds are patented for maximum revenue potential.

Sirona's current pipeline includes other cosmetic-related products for cell preservation and repair, keloid therapy, scar therapy, and cellulite treatment. In the pharmaceutical space, Sirona Biochem is working on a therapeutic for diabetic animals and new anti-viral therapies for humans.

Chinese nickel investors brace for headwinds as Indonesia weighs smelter freeze

Chinese investors could face significant disruption if Indonesia imposes a moratorium on new nickel smelters to curb global overproduction and protect local industries across its vast minerals sector, analysts said. Indonesia was weighing a halt to the construction of smelters that produce semi-finished nickel products amid a global supply glut that had driven down commodity prices, state news agency Antara reported, citing energy and mineral resources minister Bahlil Lahadalia. Semi-finished...

How DNA ‘fingerprinting’ is keeping Malaysia’s green turtles safe from poachers

As dawn breaks on Mataking Island off Sabah’s east coast, a tiny green turtle crawls across the sand, driven by instinct towards the surf before disappearing into the ocean on a journey that could cover thousands of kilometres. Where it goes is impossible to know, but with a huge dose of luck on its epic travels, it may return to the same Malaysian beach decades later to lay eggs of its own. The hatchling is one of tens of thousands that emerge from Sabah’s beaches each year, as the species...

Open-source AI is Europe’s only path to tech independence, says Alibaba chairman Joe Tsai

Embracing the open-source approach is the only way for Europe to achieve technological independence, Alibaba Group Holding chairman Joe Tsai said, pointing to China’s own open-source drive as a blueprint for innovation under constraints. Could Indonesia’s ‘content governor’ rival Prabowo for the presidency in 2029?

Dressed in his trademark white shirt and traditional Sundanese headcloth, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stood near the barren slopes of Mount Wayang. Announcing a new initiative to pay hundreds of local farmers to replant its forests and shield the region from flooding, he delivered a line perfectly pitched for the cameras tracking his every step. “I am a leader who does not want obedience caused by poverty,” he declared on September 26. “I want obedience caused by prosperity.” It is this...
