Reputation House Wins Gold Stevie Award for Managing a Remote Workforce

Digital risk protection company now became the winner of the prestigious HR-focused award for two consecutive years

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 3, 2026 -- Reputation House, a digital risk protection company, has won a Gold Stevie® Award in the Achievement in Managing a Remote Workforce category of the 11th Annual Stevie® Awards for Great Employers. The program, which recognizes the world’s best employers and the HR professionals, teams and achievements behind them, drew more than 1,000 nominations this year from organizations of all sizes in 38 nations.

Daria Skladchikova, Chief HR Officer of Reputation House, accepted the award on the company’s behalf at the ceremony held Oct. 28 at the Pullman Paris Montparnasse is Paris, France.

“I accepted this award in Paris on behalf of people working in 13 countries, and every one of them had a hand in it. An office gives you culture for free – corridors, coffee, body language. Without one, everything has to be built on purpose: how we onboard, how we teach each other, how we say thank you. That deliberate work is what the jury recognized. A colleague in Los Angeles and a colleague in Dubai are offered exactly the same company, and this win belongs equally to both,” said Daria Skladchikova.

The win recognizes the operating model Reputation House built for its fully remote team, which works across 13 countries on three continents. The company has kept its employee Net Promoter Score stable and growing over four consecutive quarters while scaling, measured through quarterly surveys.

“We didn’t go remote because we had to – we designed the company this way, and this award confirms the design works. Over a dozen countries are not an obstacle we manage around; they are how we hire the best person for every role, wherever that person happens to live. What makes me proud is not that we kept the team together across distance, but that we did it while growing – engagement usually decays at exactly the moment a company scales, and ours did not,” said Kristina Shinkareva, CEO of Reputation House.

The systems behind the model include:

  • A structured hiring and onboarding program that starts on day zero and runs through a new hire’s first two to three months
  • In-house learning sessions where any employee can both learn and teach
  • An in-house AI HR assistant that answers employee questions around the clock, in every time zone
  • A quarterly bilingual corporate magazine and a monthly digest of peer recognition
  • Annual company-wide gatherings and strategic offsites

This is the second consecutive win for Reputation House at the Stevie Awards for Great Employers. In 2025, the company was named Engagement/Happiness Team of the Year.

Other categories in this year’s competition included Employer of the Year, Chief Human Resources Officer of the Year and Human Resources Team of the Year. Past winners of the program include IBM, DHL, Bank of America, Turkish Airlines and AstraZeneca.

German tourist missing in Indonesia’s Bali after landslide amid rainy season

A German tourist was among two men still missing on Tuesday after a landslide struck a glamping resort on the island of Bali in Indonesia. Heavy rains on Sunday afternoon caused the landslide, which struck the Eco Park Pelaga Glamping Retreat in Petang district at around 11pm, The Bali Times reported. Three tents collapsed while a fourth fell into the Tukad Yeh Kilap River and was swept away by the currents. The 4-hectare (10-acre) property, which houses 25 tents, sits on a steep cliff beside...

Why Chinese AI stars like Z.ai, MiniMax struggle to match Anthropic’s profit margin

US artificial intelligence giant Anthropic’s initial public offering prospectus has exposed a vast profitability gap between it and rivals Z.ai and MiniMax, highlighting the challenges facing China’s AI model developers in turning technological advances into sustainable businesses. The Claude developer’s filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last week revealed a significant financial advantage over its most direct Chinese counterparts, despite the latter’s continued...

South Korea revokes Unification Church leader’s bail after secret visits exposed

A South Korean court revoked the Unification Church leader’s bail in a bribery case on Tuesday after footage emerged of her visiting the secretive movement’s headquarters in breach of release conditions. Han Hak-ja, 83, was sentenced to two years in prison in August for providing luxury items, including a designer handbag, to former first lady Kim Keon-hee while her husband Yoon Suk-yeol was president, in an attempt to secure policy favours. She was granted bail two months later on health...

Alibaba’s Joe Tsai champions open-source AI at Wuzhen Summit amid US pushback

Open source is the only viable path to creating a sustainable artificial intelligence industry, Alibaba Group Holding chairman Joe Tsai said on Tuesday, as the Chinese technology giant doubles down on its open-source AI strategy. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the annual World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit in eastern China’s Zhejiang province, Tsai pointed to a growing convergence around open ecosystems among domestic tech companies, as surging AI demand rubs up against persistent...

Indonesia under mounting pressure to scrap VAT on sanitary pads amid rising living costs

The Indonesian government is facing mounting pressure to scrap the value-added tax (VAT) on sanitary pads and other menstrual hygiene products, with critics arguing it adds to the financial burden for women from low-income families already struggling to buy basic necessities. While the 11 per cent tax on such products is not new, the issue has gained traction amid public anger over rising living costs. Students took to the streets of Jakarta last week to protest against the government’s handling...

Why a midterm mauling for Trump will not bring Asia trade relief

Since returning to the White House in January last year, US President Donald Trump has upended the global trading order with his scattergun approach to tariffs and launched a war on Iran that sent oil prices soaring. On Tuesday, American voters hurting from nagging inflation and the high cost of living that have defined Trump’s second term have the opportunity to deliver their verdict on his Republican Party in the midterm elections. Polls suggest that the Republicans, who currently control both...

Mid-air helicopter collision on Nepal’s Everest kills Indian tourist

An Indian tourist was killed and a New Zealand national injured when two helicopters collided and crashed while attempting to land in Nepal’s Everest region on Tuesday, police said. There are few roads in the Himalayas, and helicopters are widely used to transport tourists, climbers and supplies, as well as carry out emergency evacuations. Nepal’s challenging terrain and rapidly changing weather make aviation operations particularly hazardous. The small helicopters operated by Fishtail Air and...

Fake ‘students’ at Indonesia police rally raise questions over efforts to counter dissent

A rally organised by Jakarta police to promote national unity has instead raised questions about whether the Indonesian government is using public events to blunt dissent, with questions raised over the identities of some participants after one admitted in a television interview that he had been paid to attend while posing as a university student. The controversy has fuelled criticism of what analysts describe as an intensifying effort to drown out opposing voices, while drawing attention to the...

Japanese voters yearn for ‘strong politician’ like Trump, but without his showmanship

A new public opinion poll released on the eve of the US midterm elections indicates that while few Japanese favour President Donald Trump’s policies, most say they wish Japan had a “strong” head of state who could make difficult decisions. Analysts suggest that while many Japanese believe a strong leader will stand up for the nation on the world stage and not shy away from bold policies, this does not mean they want someone with the bombast, showmanship and arrogance associated with...
