Popline is a brand-new platform, founded in Los Angeles, California, that aims to bring the best of podcasting, blogging and original content from around the internet to one central location. Built by the creators of the award-winning Hangover Network, Michael Benatar and Jeremy Garrison, Popline brings together discussions of what the world is buzzing about – pop culture moments, on-field sports and off-field sports scandals, politics, self-help and more.

The Popline network
Building from the foundation laid by the Hangover Network, Popline has expanded its line of podcasts to cover a much wider range of topics. This includes The Sports Hangover, a long-running podcast dedicated to sports scandals and corruption, Vodcast Soda, a Los Angeles-based gossip/advice podcast, Fantasy Focused, a fantasy football podcast, Super Pod Bros, a video game podcast and others focusing on topics such as hockey, soccer and business plus American Man, which includes discussions on “business, investing, stocks, economics, sports, cars, guns, real estate, and so many other ‘Americana topics’,” according to their website.

A new forum to discuss all things culture
Along with the expansion of the podcast network, Popline is also launching a wide range of blogs, many of which recap and go into deeper detail on the many different topics discussed in the network’s podcasts. Popline consumers can choose whichever means of getting involved in the discussion that suits them best. Whether they want to listen or read, text, call or comment, all options are accessible.

Popline Originals
Popline will also be the home of additional original content. With many creatives currently collaborating on the team, the network already has a wide range of media experts, sports fans and thought leaders ready to offer their own twist on the latest news and to share their insights with a growing audience.

With the launch of Popline, a new media platform bringing blogs, podcasts, and original content all in one place, with a diversity of voices behind it, is now available on the internet. Visit the website at www.popline.co to learn more about the company and all the content they have coming out.

In Singapore, NPMs are appointed to bring non-partisan perspectives to the legislature; they do...

Tesla owners in South Korea lose legal battle over full self-driving promises

A South Korean court on Thursday rejected a lawsuit by dozens of Tesla owners ‌seeking full refunds for money paid for Full Self-Driving (FSD) driver-assistance software, ruling that the carmaker had not breached its contractual obligations. The Seoul Central District Court ruled against the 88 plaintiffs, finding that the FSD option did not promise fully autonomous driving without human intervention and that Tesla had already provided some of the functions included in the package. China’s microdrama war heats up as Tencent, ByteDance fight for eyeballs

Shen Jiaoqi, a banker living in southern China’s Guangdong province, cannot stop watching microdramas. The shows are so addictive that she sometimes spends entire days gazing at her phone. One time, she even kept watching while she showered. “Honestly, I was watching for the eye candy rather than the plots,” she said. “The AI has really made the characters look stunning.” Shen is far from alone. Microdramas have exploded in popularity in China over the past few years, offering viewers a quick...
