New York City, New York Aug 23, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Driven by his passion for the field, Dr. Curreri has dedicated six decades to health facility administration and education. He is currently utilizing his expertise as the Chairman of Stratagem of Alabama, Inc., where he has served since 1988.
His professional journey began at Swarthmore College and the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Medical Degree, respectively. Those degrees propelled him to join his graduate alma mater's hospital as an intern and resident and led him to want to share his recently-accrued knowledge with others.
Subsequently, Dr. Curreri obtained educational roles in surgery for the University of Texas, the University of Washington, Cornell University, and the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.
To ensure that he remained connected to his peers and professional community, he became affiliated with prestigious organizations such as the American Association for Surgery of Trauma (served as president from 1989 until 1990), the American College of Surgeons, the Society of University Surgeons (served as the president from 1981 until 1982), and the American Burn Association (served as the president from 1983 until 1984). Dr. Curreri also contributed to numerous articles in professional journals and was recognized many times for his outstanding work.
In 1972, he had the Research Career Development Award bestowed upon him by the National Institutes of Health. Many years later, in the late 1980s, he won the Curtis P. Artz Award through the American Trauma Society.
Among his other noteworthy accomplishments, Dr. Curreri has been featured in seven editions of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and two editions each of Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World.
