Dec 21, 2020

Oktopost enables remote, distributed, and on-site marketing teams to collaborate on social content in real time and align marketing activities across the entire organization, without leaving the platform.

TEL AVIV, Israel - December 21, 2020 - (Newswire.com)

Oktopost, the only social media management and employee advocacy platform architected for B2B, has updated its built-in social calendar.

With 2020 making digital work environments a priority for B2B organizations worldwide, marketing teams now rely on their social calendar not only for planning but also for collaboration on creating, approving, and publishing social content as well as for aligning it with other marketing activities.

For Oktopost's customers, the platform's social calendar has become one of the most critical features that provides a strategic overview of all social content across different campaigns, teams, and locations. To help them stay productive and manage social media activities in a smarter way, Oktopost updated the calendar, finetuned some of its functions, and added new features that help enhance collaboration.

"We're in constant communication with our customers finding out how we can help streamline their social media marketing. The calendar is one of the most used features in Oktopost, and over time we've seen that many B2B teams use it as a means for collaboration on social content. To enhance this function, we've rebuilt the calendar from scratch, taking into account our customers' input while preserving all beloved tools," says Liad Guez, VP Product of Oktopost.

"We wanted to give our users a calendar experience that requires less action and provides more information at once, without overwhelming them. For example, we've minimized campaign color indication to have more room for publishing and approval status and make the whole calendar look cleaner. For users who need a more detailed overview, we've added an extended calendar mode where they can simultaneously see more information related to all their posts," says Noya Barguy, Product Designer at Oktopost.

The Oktopost calendar's UX was improved to better reflect all social media activities and their status from the main page. In addition to the default calendar mode, Oktopost added an extended mode that offers a more visual representation of social posts, including time, content, and attachment previews. New content and approval updates will now appear on the calendar in real time. Oktopost has also added calendar customization settings, allowing users to import external events and calendars from Google, Apple, and other external platforms, as well as to enable local public holidays.
