Graffiti in New York dates back to the 1970s when artists such as TAKI 183 and Tracy 168 started tagging their names across the city. It quickly became popular, and as competition grew, artists began incorporating illustrations and full scenery into their work. The new T-shirt features the Goddess Sarasvati - a representation of knowledge, music, arts, and wisdom.
These custom-made T-shirts can be ordered directly from the website and are printed and shipped from the United States. Customers can purchase using PayPal, Visa, or Mastercard, with delivery in 7 to 12 business days - and the T-shirts come in a variety of colors, including black, red, purple, pink, and green.
In Hindu mythology, Goddess Sarasvati is closely tied to the arts, especially music. On the T-shirt design, she is depicted playing the veena, a string instrument associated with the rhythm of the universe. As the goddess of speech, language, and knowledge, Sarasvati inspires eloquence and effective communication in her followers - and she has become a popular figure in graffiti art and street culture.
A native of Brooklyn and the New York metropolitan region, Sarah James hails from a household steeped in musical tradition. Her grandfather, an Irish immigrant from County Cork, was a proficient accordionist who kept alive the sounds of traditional Celtic folk. Her parents amassed an expansive record library spanning from Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday to Lightnin' Hopkins and Frank Sinatra. In addition to her photography, Sarah James is an accomplished composer, songwriter, and producer.
Sarah states: "Goddess Sarasvati, also known as the Hindu Goddess of knowledge, music, arts, and wisdom, holds a revered place in Hindu mythology and culture. Artists, musicians, and performers invoke her blessings, with the hope that she will enhance their artistic abilities."
