Aug 19, 2023

Recent research suggests that new ketamine therapy treatments may be able to help individuals who suffer from treatment-resistant mental health conditions. The Thrive IV Clinic has now expanded its treatment options to help individuals suffering from these conditions receive fast access to IV Ketamine therapy, in a physician-approved environment.

More information about ketamine therapy for treatment-resistant conditions, physician-approved treatment options, and the Thrive IV clinic can be found at https://www.thriveiv.net/

While ketamine has been used medicinally for decades, it is only in the last 20 years that research has suggested it may be effective for clients with treatment-resistant conditions. Thrive IV's newly added ketamine infusion treatments are available for a wide range of complications, including PTSD, depression, and anxiety.

Although ketamine infusions have been proven effective against a range of conditions, these treatments are not ideal for every individual. New patients will be asked to conduct a thorough review with Dr. Pellegrino, the clinic’s ketamine specialist, to determine if this is the correct treatment, and how to proceed.

Each patient will receive individual attention and a personalized treatment plan after their case has been reviewed. While these treatments will vary, most patients can expect up to six infusions, over a 2 to 3-week period, with each treatment lasting approximately one hour.

All patients will be carefully monitored during their ketamine treatment so that dosages can be adjusted for maximum effectiveness. While most patients begin with low-dosage treatments, those with chronic pain may be given a higher dosage or extended treatment for their first visit.

While research into ketamine infusions is still ongoing, studies show that these treatments are both safe and effective. A recent study shows that 70%-80% of individuals can find ketamine infusions to be helpful against a range of conditions, including for those where standard treatment options have failed, Thrive IV says on its website.

Thrive IV offers a range of ketamine-based treatments, including low-dose, high-dose, low-duration, and long-duration options. Returning patients may also be offered a booster or maintenance therapy, which may take the form of infrequent low-dose treatments, or prescribed oral ketamine.

A spokesperson for the Thrive IV clinic explained, "We collaborate with patients towards the best possible treatments - we strive to maximize the duration and quality of results through appropriate dosing, adjunctive medications as appropriate, and maintain direct communication with your Psychiatrist, Pain Doctor, and Therapists. We are always re-evaluating the treatment plan and frequency that makes the best sense for your specific diagnosis."

Filipinos split on Marcos’ South China Sea handling amid row over Jing Quan’s remarks

Filipinos are almost evenly divided over the Marcos administration’s handling of the maritime dispute with China, even as nearly three in four favour diplomacy over confrontation, according to a new survey. That preference has taken on added significance after recent remarks by China’s ambassador to Manila sparked a diplomatic row ahead of November’s Asean summit. The feud underscored the challenge of managing tensions with Beijing, and increasingly hostile rhetoric could make the diplomatic...

Novel idea: Thailand, Vietnam take books on the road in reading drive

Tran Dai Thang spotted two young people who had picked up their drinks at a pop-up cafe beside his travelling bookstore and were about to leave, so he called them over. One of them said they did not read books, Thang recalled. But he kept the conversation going and eventually persuaded the visitor to buy a book for 10,000 dong (US$0.40) – heavily discounted from its original price of 45,000 dong. For Thang, an artist and publisher, the small sale mattered far less than the fact that someone who...

Singapore tells suppliers to ‘honour commitments’ amid Indonesia’s gas cut

Singapore expects all parties who have signed commercial contracts for gas supplies to “honour their commitments”, said Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Sunday after Indonesia cut its exports. Speaking at the People’s Action Party (PAP) convention, Wong added that Singapore’s gas importer will take the necessary steps to protect its rights and interests. Indonesia began reducing natural gas exports to Singapore on Saturday. Indonesia’s upstream oil and gas regulator SKK Migas said the move was to...

Why more Japanese women are choosing ‘silver divorce’ after decades of marriage

Her two daughters have grown up and left home, and her husband of more than two decades moved out nearly a year ago as they finalise a divorce. For the 62-year-old Kawasaki resident, who spoke on condition that her surname be withheld, this was not how she envisioned her later years. “He worked very long hours, including on weekends, and I was always busy taking...

Singapore embraces AI for cyber defence, with one caveat: breach transparency

Singapore is turning to major technology firms to strengthen its cyber defences, even as it presses them for greater transparency over security breaches – a balancing act facing regional governments as they seek to harness artificial intelligence while guarding against the risks it introduces. Those risks were highlighted by an AI agent linked to OpenAI that gained unauthorised access to files on an Australian government website earlier this year, raising questions over how quickly companies...

On October 18, Anthropic, the artificial intelligence (AI) laboratory preparing one of the largest listings in history, committed 5 per cent of its shares to a public benefit fund. The next day, Elon Musk promised one SpaceX share, next year, for “every kid in America” – about US$10.6 billion for some 73 million children. The offers differ in who holds the shares. Anthropic’s will sit in an entity the company owns, spent on the public’s behalf; Musk’s would land, by a route he has not explained,...
