Nervous-system research applied to de-escalation, sales and therapy

SANKAMPAENG, Thailand - Oct. 29, 2026 - PRLog -- Behavioral framework designer Sebastian Stroeller has published The MAP State Atlas, a reference work cataloguing thirty-eight internal states that determine whether a person can process what they are told, with a matching drill application, the MAP Language Lab https://onelink.to/map-lab

The work addresses a failure mode common to frontline service, sales and clinical practice: the correct answer, delivered calmly, that makes the situation worse. Under sustained threat, language processing narrows. A person holds one sentence and cannot hold a second. Planning capacity goes offline, so references to tomorrow do not reassure. New information does not land, it bounces, and the bounce raises the volume. Repeating an accurate answer reads, from the other side of a desk, as a wall.

The Atlas sorts the states into seven groups, Threat and Activation, Loss and Rupture, Uncertainty, The Bind, Protective, Decision-side, and Advocacy and Aggression, organised by what the system is reaching for rather than by observable behaviour. Each entry specifies the identifying signals, what the state requires, and the sentence that moves it.

The MAP Language Lab carries the same material as spaced-repetition drill tracks across therapy, sales, de-escalation and the State Atlas. It uses the Leitner system with one modification: each section presents its lesson before testing begins. The de-escalation track exists in six sector editions, covering airline, banking, government, hospital, hotel and retail counters.

"Most communication training teaches people to be clearer," Stroeller said. "Clarity is not the constraint. The constraint is whether the person in front of you has the equipment to use what you are saying. Acknowledge first, inform second, and the same sentence produces a different outcome. Everything after that is mechanics."

The MAP State Atlas is available at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Sebastian-Stroeller/author/B0C1GK2P1J alongside The MAP Language Canon and The MAP Language Sales Canon. The MAP Language Lab is available for iOS and Android. Four interactive state trainers and a sales call guide are free at https://sebastian-stroeller.com/free-resources/

Can Lula’s re-election unlock Mercosur markets for Southeast Asia?

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s re-election should provide continuity for the country’s trade push into Southeast Asia, analysts say, as Vietnam and Indonesia pursue preferential trade agreements with Mercosur, the South American bloc in which Brazil is the largest economy. But better access to Brazil and other Mercosur markets is far from assured, with trade experts pointing to difficult negotiations over tariffs and agricultural access, as well as political differences within...

Why Japan is pushing for a more ‘proactive’ Southeast Asia amid great-power rivalry

Japan wants a more united and proactive Southeast Asia as it sees Asean as a bulwark against an intensifying great-power rivalry, analysts say, while uncertainty over Washington’s long-term Indo-Pacific strategy has deepened Tokyo’s concerns about the region’s future. Japanese Defence Minister Shinjiro Koizumi on Wednesday urged Southeast Asian nations to strengthen their collective response to emerging security threats, warning of a “rapidly deteriorating” security environment and shifts in the...

Thailand and Vietnam meat seizures highlight deepening risk of unsafe food on the table

A flurry of meat seizures across Thailand and Vietnam has raised fears of animal-borne diseases devastating regional livestock populations and unsafe food ending up on consumers’ plates. Driven by rising energy and logistics costs, unscrupulous suppliers have targeted restaurants and wet markets desperate to protect margins by sourcing cheap, unregulated cuts – even those past their expiry date or tainted with disease. On October 21, police in Vietnam’s southern province of Dong Nai dismantled a...

Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid said the government and public “need not be irritated” by comments from ex-NMP Calvin Cheng. In Singapore, NMPs are appointed to bring non-partisan perspectives to the legislature; they do...
