Most of the year, but in the summer especially, the Florida Keys are a hotspot for boaters, fishers, and watersport enthusiasts. The area’s tropical climate, exotic scenery, and diverse amenities make it a go-to destination for locals and tourists alike.

Marathon Pontoon Rental’s updated boat rental packages allow customers and their friends and families to enjoy everything the islands have to offer in a relaxing and affordable way.

The current rates for daily and weekly rentals are $379.99 and $1,999, respectively, excluding fuel costs. Custom pricing is available for users who want to rent the boats for an entire month.

Each rental includes access to a 24-foot pontoon boat and all of its onboard features, which, depending on the boat, can include GPS systems, sun decks, coolers, and speakers.

The rentals also come with the required Coast Guard safety equipment, including life vests for adults. For children under 90 pounds, Marathon Pontoon Rental recommends that they bring their own life vests to ensure a secure fit, however, they can also supply them if given advanced notice.

For daily rentals, the boating day is from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. For weekly and monthly boat rentals, Marathon Pontoon Rental will deliver the boat to a location of the customer’s choosing and they can use it at their leisure. However, no boat operation is allowed from dusk to dawn.

“With our pontoon boat rentals, you can organize your upcoming family vacation or group function on the lovely waters of Marathon,” said a spokesperson for the company. “Our rentals are private, so you can use the boat to go fishing, take in the views, cruise the region, or stop by and eat at one of the many fantastic restaurants in the area.”

To book one of Marathon Pontoon Rental’s boating packages, customers can call the number in the description or fill out a request form on their website. Drivers of the boats must be at least 25 years old, have a valid driver’s license and major credit card, and be able to understand safety instructions in English.

Tokenised gold bar to advance Hong Kong’s ambitions as digital, metal trading hub

Hong Kong’s plan to start an interbank tokenised gold transaction project marks a crucial step in its quest to make itself a key global hub for the precious metal, according to analysts. The city planned to launch a gold token representing a standard 400-ounce gold bar, referencing HAU, Hong Kong’s ticker for gold prices launched earlier this year, said Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui Ching-yu during the annual Fintech Week event on Monday. He said the effort...

Is Sara Duterte’s impeachment case being sped up due to Filipinos’ ‘growing impatience’?

The impeachment trial of Philippine Vice-President Sara Duterte-Carpio may soon draw to a close after the prosecution decided to drop several of her charges, a move that legal experts have said is intended to speed up the trial and secure a conviction by focusing on the strongest evidence against her. Beyond the trial, the decision could have significant political implications for the 2028 presidential race, with a swift verdict potentially removing a strong candidate, according to analysts. North Korea’s low-cost drone push exposes South Korea’s red tape trap

North Korea is rapidly advancing its drone warfare capabilities by drawing lessons from the Russia-Ukraine war, even as South Korea’s efforts to keep pace remain bogged down by procurement delays and bureaucratic red tape, observers warn. They also caution that cryptocurrency theft has become a crucial source of funding for Pyongyang’s weapons programmes, following US Federal Bureau of Investigation allegations that North Korean state-backed hackers stole more than US$6 billion from Binance, the...

Sister of North Korea’s Kim slams FBI’s Binance hack allegations as ‘grave’ provocation

North Korea on Tuesday slammed the FBI’s allegations that Pyongyang was behind the theft of US$6 billion from cryptocurrency platform Binance, with Kim Jong-un’s powerful sister labelling it a “grave political provocation”. Kim Yo-jong, in a statement released on Tuesday by the KCNA state news agency, said the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s claim was “absurd rhetoric and nothing new”, given earlier US allegations that North Korea was behind last year’s major hack of Bybit. “It is a grave...
