Denton, Texas - Pack N’ Mail is a neighborhood USPS shipping store in the Denton area. The local shipping store is highlighting the recently announced 2021 United States Postal Service pricing changes. Overall, rates will be increasing for the upcoming year. The price modifications are set to take effect on January 24, 2021, should no other changes be implemented prior to this time. The current recommended rate changes would increase the existing price of all first-class mail by 1.8 percent and all other categories by 1.5 percent.

The United States Postal Service's example list of items includes five products. According to the list, all letters and flats weighing one ounce or less will continue to cost 55 cents and one dollar, sequentially. The cost for each additional ounce for letters will increase from 15 cents to 20 cents. Furthermore, metered letters of one ounce will increase in cost from 50 cents to 51 cents. The expense of all domestic postcards will increase from 35 cents to 36 cents once the changes occur.

U.S. Postal Service is happy to still be able to provide some of the most affordable letter-mail rates in the industrialized world, even with the planned January 2021 rate increase. The Postal Service Board of Governors has already authorized the price boost, and the firm believes that this is the optimal method to keep rates competitive while supplying much-needed income for the agency at the same time.

Pack N’ Mail is proud to have served the Denton area since 1994 with quality customer service and upfront pricing. Asean climate monitor issues highest alert level over toxic haze

Ongoing fires in Indonesia that have blanketed parts of Southeast Asia with toxic haze have triggered the highest-level alert by the regional bloc’s climate and fire monitor. “Activation of Alert Level 3 for the Southern Asean region,” the Singapore Asean Specialised Meteorological Centre (ASMC) said on its website, seen on Saturday. Based near Singapore’s Changi Airport, the ASMC uses a four-tiered alert level system, from zero to three, with the highest triggered if there is a “high risk of...

Asean’s Myanmar peace push needs Japan’s ‘silent diplomacy’

Japan has long established itself as a pioneer of mediation in Southeast Asia. In 1990, for example, its officials helped broker talks between Cambodia’s warring factions, supplementing international efforts to end conflict in the country. Now, Tokyo is seeking to upgrade its diplomatic toolkit. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ International Peace Mediation Unit was set up in March, followed by the launch of the Parliamentary Association for Peace Mediation in May. Around the same time, the...
