ListingBott Launches Goal-Based Directory Campaign Workflow for SaaS and Online Businesses

Oct 5, 2026

The updated workflow lets customers choose a campaign objective, review a tailored list of 100+ directory opportunities before publishing, and follow progress through weekly updates and final campaign reporting.

United States, October 5, 2026 -- ListingBott, a managed directory submission service for SaaS companies, AI tools, developer products, agencies, newsletters and other online businesses, has launched an updated goal-based campaign workflow for customers worldwide. The process is designed to give founders and small teams more control over where their products are submitted while reducing the repetitive work involved in researching, creating and tracking directory profiles.ListingBott

ListingBott manages directory campaigns for SaaS, software and other online businesses.

The workflow starts with a campaign objective rather than a fixed list of websites. Customers can prioritize backlink profile development, brand awareness, or a combination of the two. ListingBott then uses software-assisted research and human review to identify relevant opportunities from a database of more than 10,000 directories, websites and forums across multiple categories and countries.

Within the first stage of a campaign, ListingBott prepares a tailored list of 100 or more opportunities for the customer to review. Existing placements can be filtered out so the list focuses on new coverage. Customers can approve or decline individual directories before the publishing stage begins, keeping the final campaign aligned with the brand, audience and market.

“A useful directory campaign is not about putting the same profile everywhere. It starts with knowing what the company wants to achieve, choosing the right places, and giving the founder visibility into what is being published,” said John Rush, founder of ListingBott. “The updated workflow is designed to make that process more controlled and easier to follow from the first shortlist to the final report.”

After approval, submissions are released gradually over approximately one month rather than being posted in a single bulk batch. ListingBott provides recurring progress updates during the campaign and reviews the placements after the main publishing period. Because many directories have their own approval and indexing timelines, published, submitted and pending placements can move through different stages before a campaign is fully complete.

A separate part of the workflow addresses account ownership. Listings can be created with a customer-controlled forwarding email or with dedicated credentials that are handed over after the work is completed. This allows customers to retain access to the profiles and update or remove listings later rather than treating the campaign as a closed black-box service.

The approach reflects the operating model described in ListingBott’s 2026 directory submission guide, which emphasizes platform fit, controlled submission waves, post-publish verification and reporting instead of maximizing raw listing volume. The company also publishes case studies documenting how software and service businesses have used directory campaigns as one part of a broader distribution strategy.

One recent software case study describes an early-stage product building a wider third-party footprint while receiving ongoing campaign updates. ListingBott notes that directory placements are only one part of a company’s overall marketing and that outcomes such as rankings, traffic, leads or third-party authority metrics can vary by website, market and starting point.

ListingBott was created by founder John Rush as a way to systematize directory work across his own startup portfolio. Rush continues to share product and founder updates on X. The company has operated since 2022 and continues to expand its directory research database and campaign management process.

More information about the service and current campaign options is available on the ListingBott website.

Why India’s missile deals in Central Asia matter to Russia and China

India has sold its Akash air-defence missile system to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, giving it a foothold in Central Asia as it seeks to become a major global arms exporter. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh confirmed the latest sales on Thursday last week, hinting at interest from elsewhere as he called the Akash “one of our success stories”. Developed by India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation, the Akash is a home-grown, short-range surface-to-air missile system that can hit...

Southeast Asia starts to rethink its AI data centre boom: ‘at what cost?’

Southeast Asian governments are learning some hard truths about the data centre boom they spent years working to attract, analysts say – it promises jobs, digital infrastructure and a foothold in the AI economy, but the rapid buildout is also straining power grids, land and regulatory systems. “There is this enthusiasm to attract investments, but now it raises the question: at what cost and at what speed?” said policy researcher Mark Manantan, a research fellow for the Centre for Global Security...

Hong Kong lawmakers say 5-year tax incentive too short to entice major innovative firms

Hong Kong lawmakers have backed the government’s proposed tax incentives for large innovative companies, but many said on Monday that the planned five-year concession period is too short to attract major firms to establish headquarters or expand operations in the city. Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu in his policy address last month said the government planned to submit a bill introducing preferential profits tax rates of either 5 per cent or 8.25 per cent, which was half of the city’s standard...
