LANDED Rentals Launches New UK Rental Marketplace For Relocating Professionals

Oct 5, 2026

New platform opens in the United Kingdom as the one-month cap on rent in advance closes a common workaround for international renters.

London, England, October 5, 2026 -- LANDED Rentals (LANDED) is a new rental marketplace launching today in London. It gives people moving to the UK for work a way to find a long-term home and apply on the strength of their income, employment contract and savings rather than a UK credit history that they have not yet had time to build.

Standard tenant referencing leans heavily on a UK credit file and a UK-based guarantor - which many people arriving for a confirmed job do not have, regardless of how much they earn. For years, a common workaround was to pay several months’ rent upfront. However, since 1 May 2026, the Renters’ Rights Act of 2025 has limited rent in advance on new private tenancies in England to one month, which removes that option.

LANDED is built for that gap. Renters are able to search long-term listings and can build a profile around the evidence landlords actually need: proof of income, an employment contract and savings. Landlords list properties, review applicants’ documents and message them directly in one place.

“We started LANDED Rentals because we had lived the other side of it,” said Sarah Di Benedetto, Co-Founder of LANDED. “We watched people with good jobs and steady incomes get turned away because their paperwork didn’t fit a UK template. A new job in a new country is hard enough. Finding somewhere to live shouldn’t be the part that adds stress to families.”

“Landlords aren’t trying to turn good tenants away. They just need clear information to make a decision,” said Michele Pio Corveddu, Co-Founder of LANDED. “LANDED puts that information in front of them in an organised way, so a strong applicant isn’t ruled out simply because they’re new to the country.”

The platform is live as of today. Renters and landlords can join at landedrentals.com.

About LANDED Rentals

LANDED Rentals was founded by Sarah Di Benedetto and Michele Pio Corveddu to target a specific gap in the UK rental market for overseas workers. It provides people relocating to the UK for work with a way to identify long-term rental properties and apply without worrying about having a UK credit file. The platform exists as a marketplace for landlords and renters, making it easier for both to find what they’re looking for.

Why India’s missile deals in Central Asia matter to Russia and China

India has sold its Akash air-defence missile system to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, giving it a foothold in Central Asia as it seeks to become a major global arms exporter. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh confirmed the latest sales on Thursday last week, hinting at interest from elsewhere as he called the Akash “one of our success stories”. Developed by India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation, the Akash is a home-grown, short-range surface-to-air missile system that can hit...

Southeast Asia starts to rethink its AI data centre boom: ‘at what cost?’

Southeast Asian governments are learning some hard truths about the data centre boom they spent years working to attract, analysts say – it promises jobs, digital infrastructure and a foothold in the AI economy, but the rapid buildout is also straining power grids, land and regulatory systems. “There is this enthusiasm to attract investments, but now it raises the question: at what cost and at what speed?” said policy researcher Mark Manantan, a research fellow for the Centre for Global Security...

Hong Kong lawmakers say 5-year tax incentive too short to entice major innovative firms

Hong Kong lawmakers have backed the government’s proposed tax incentives for large innovative companies, but many said on Monday that the planned five-year concession period is too short to attract major firms to establish headquarters or expand operations in the city. Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu in his policy address last month said the government planned to submit a bill introducing preferential profits tax rates of either 5 per cent or 8.25 per cent, which was half of the city’s standard...
