Kathleen "Kat" Quarterman, Realtor in Moorestown, NJ, Featured in South Jersey Real Producers Agent Spotlight

Kathleen "Kat" Quarterman, ABR®, MRP, is the broker-owner of Quarterman Realty Group in Moorestown, NJ, licensed in NJ and PA. With $80M+ in career sales and seven Circle of Excellence awards, she serves buyers and sellers across South Jersey and Bucks County.

MOORESTOWN, N.J, October 30, 2026 -- Kathleen "Kat" Quarterman, broker-owner of Quarterman Realty Group, is featured in the August 2026 edition of South Jersey Real Producers in a four-page Agent Spotlight titled "Building Something That Lasts."

The feature traces her path from a childhood in Brooklyn to brokerage ownership in South Jersey, and the through-line it identifies is not production volume. It is a conviction formed early: that businesses worth building are built by consistently doing right by people.

"Real estate, for me, is first and foremost about relationships and service," Quarterman said in the feature. "When you focus on doing the right thing for people, everything else follows."

The Fish Market in Brooklyn

Quarterman's first business education came from watching her parents run a fish market. It functioned as a neighborhood gathering place, regulars returned, conversations mattered, and trust accumulated over years rather than transactions.

That model of commerce, where reputation is built one person at a time and compounds slowly, is the one she has carried into every stage since.

Three Sides of the Same Transaction

Most agents see one part of a closing. Quarterman has worked three.

She entered the industry in 1999, interning for a top-producing mortgage loan officer at a major bank, then spent roughly eight years in mortgage origination helping buyers understand the financial mechanics of homeownership. After time away caring for her growing family, she returned in 2012 through the title business, where she learned the legal and closing side of a transaction. She became a licensed New Jersey real estate agent in 2013.

The practical result is that when a lender raises a condition, an underwriter questions an appraisal, or a title issue surfaces days before closing, she has sat on the other side of those desks. That is why her practice emphasizes client education and preparation rather than simply moving a contract toward a closing table, an approach reflected in her published guides to the steps of buying a home and the steps of selling a home.

Resilience Behind the Leadership

The feature also covers a part of her story that transaction counts cannot capture.

Quarterman became a mother at 16. Rather than treating that as a ceiling, she continued her education and eventually earned a degree in Health Services Administration, an experience that shaped a habit of approaching obstacles as problems to solve rather than reasons to stop.

Looking forward, she hopes to mentor young women and teen mothers, using her own history to encourage women navigating difficult beginnings while pursuing ambitious goals.

Her military family connection informs the work as well. A U.S. Navy mom and U.S. Army wife, she holds the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designation and supports service families through PCS moves and relocation into the region.

Building a Boutique Brokerage

Quarterman Realty Group is not built around scale. As broker-owner, Quarterman is focused on a boutique brokerage where service, communication, education, and professionalism stay consistent across every client, and where agents work in an environment that holds the same standards.

The firm's team includes sales associates Kiran Walker, Alvail Halliday, and Tamaile Stephenson, alongside Quarterman.

The brokerage also maintains dedicated support for probate and estate sales, where families settling a property need coordination and patience more than a fast listing.

For Quarterman, the magazine's title is the point: longevity means relationships clients remember, agents who share the same values, and a company judged on how people were treated.
