New York City, New York Nov 14, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - An exceptional bariatric surgeon, Dr. Redmann is affiliated with Surgical Specialists of Louisiana, tending to patients at their offices in Covington, Metairie, and Slidell. His clinical interests include the surgical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including Nissen fundoplication and hiatal hernia repair, and the LINX reflux management system. Bariatric surgery (or weight loss surgery) includes a variety of procedures performed on people who are obese. Long-term weight loss through Standard of Care procedures (Roux en Y Bypass, Sleeve Gastrectomy, and Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch) is largely achieved by altering gut hormone levels that are responsible for hunger and satiety, thereby leading to a new hormonal weight set point. A doctor who specializes in this type of surgery is known as a bariatric surgeon.
With his impressive bedside manner and excellent surgical skill, Dr. Redmann has been named one of the Top Surgeons in America. He recently received the distinction of Top Doctor 2020 from New Orleans Magazine. This recognition of achievement personifies the trust and confidence of his patients as well as doctors nationwide. His excellent clinical skills, coupled with humble interpersonal skills, endear him to his patients, staff, and colleagues.

Asian economies heavily dependent on imported energy are facing an even sharper squeeze after the shutdown of Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline removed a key escape route from the disruption in the Strait of Hormuz, deepening an energy shock that has already pushed crude oil above US$100 a barrel. Analysts said the loss of that bypass would hit Asian refiners first before feeding through to inflation, currencies and economic growth across the region. Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil...
Singapore Airlines was awarded the title of world’s best airline in the annual rankings by Skytrax, taking the top spot from Qatar Airways in a year that saw Middle Eastern carriers come under significant pressure from the ongoing war in Iran. The award, which is based on a survey of almost 25 million travellers, was announced in London on Friday, with a list dominated by Asian carriers. Thailand has moved to make weight-loss pens prescription-only, as a glut of the GLP-1 medicines – which mimic the hormones released once someone is full – floods the black market and influencers swarm TikTok to extol the quick wins of the simple injections.
