InvestorNewsBreaks – SRAX Inc. (NASDAQ: SRAX) Announces Sequire Investor Community Platform, Hosts Renewable Energy and Power Conference

Oct 21, 2022

SRAX (NASDAQ: SRAX), a financial technology company that unlocks data and insights for publicly traded companies through Sequire, its Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”) platform, has created a community for retail and institutional investors. The beta program of the Sequire Community is live. The community is designed to provide invaluable education and resources to a dynamic community of like-minded individuals. The platform will complement Sequire’s suite of products that connects public companies with their shareholders, allowing these key groups to connect through virtual Q&A events that can be held alone or in addition to earnings calls. Through the community, companies can create profiles featuring their bios, tickers and stock prices; schedule Q&A events; answer verified investor’s questions; track stock owned by investors asking questions; and evaluate what is important to their shareholder. Investors will be able to connect their brokerage account to become verified, ask questions directly to companies, upvote other investor’s questions on a company’s profile, provide key feedback, and investment opportunities. SRAX has scheduled a Q&A event to kick off the launch of the Sequire Community; that event will be held on Oct. 25, 2022. In addition, SRAX also announced that it will host the 2022 LD Micro Main Event. The event is scheduled for Oct. 25–27, 2022, and will be held on the Sequire Virtual Events platform as well as in person at the Luxe Hotel in Los Angeles. More than 200 companies will be presenting during the three-day gathering, which is the 15th consecutive sellout for the company. According to the company, LD Micro is the host of the most influential conferences in the small-cap world.

Why India’s missile deals in Central Asia matter to Russia and China

India has sold its Akash air-defence missile system to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, giving it a foothold in Central Asia as it seeks to become a major global arms exporter. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh confirmed the latest sales on Thursday last week, hinting at interest from elsewhere as he called the Akash “one of our success stories”. Developed by India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation, the Akash is a home-grown, short-range surface-to-air missile system that can hit...

Southeast Asia starts to rethink its AI data centre boom: ‘at what cost?’

Southeast Asian governments are learning some hard truths about the data centre boom they spent years working to attract, analysts say – it promises jobs, digital infrastructure and a foothold in the AI economy, but the rapid buildout is also straining power grids, land and regulatory systems. “There is this enthusiasm to attract investments, but now it raises the question: at what cost and at what speed?” said policy researcher Mark Manantan, a research fellow for the Centre for Global Security...

Hong Kong lawmakers say 5-year tax incentive too short to entice major innovative firms

Hong Kong lawmakers have backed the government’s proposed tax incentives for large innovative companies, but many said on Monday that the planned five-year concession period is too short to attract major firms to establish headquarters or expand operations in the city. Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu in his policy address last month said the government planned to submit a bill introducing preferential profits tax rates of either 5 per cent or 8.25 per cent, which was half of the city’s standard...

A former South Korean lawmaker has called for the abolition of the military exemption system granted to outstanding national athletes, arguing that military service should not be used as an incentive for achievements in sports or the arts. Yoo Seong-min’s remarks came amid controversy over comments made by members of South Korea’s men’s football team, who recently won its fourth consecutive Asian Games title, regarding the military benefits they received.
