The latest move sees the center upgrade its suite of upscale ballrooms, providing high-end facilities and inspiring surroundings for celebrations of all sizes. Each of Meridian Convention Center's ballrooms can be customized to match the unique styles and tastes of clients, with the event planning team bringing respect for and sensitivity to the traditions of various communities. Moreover, Meridian facilitates optional features such as rehearsal and time and event security.

One of the spaces available, the Valencia Ballroom, has played host to many weddings over the years. This hall is a popular choice for celebrations with its impressive 6,500 square feet of polished ceramic floor space. The room can comfortably accommodate 150 to 200 guests in a banquet-style arrangement, and this figure stretches to around 300 for theater-style configurations.

The ceiling is decorated with seven chandeliers, with an additional large one adorning the entranceway. These fixtures give the room a sense of timeless charm, creating the ideal backdrop for weddings of all kinds. There are also LED lights for further control over the ambiance of the space.

The hall also features a staging area measuring 16 x 9 feet, providing ample room for speeches or entertainment. Furthermore, a separate load-in area ensures guests are not competing for space with catering teams or musicians.

The Valencia has a dedicated prep kitchen, complete with a microwave and fridge-freezer, and a dressing room space to make costume changes easier to manage. Meridian clients can also rent additional decorative lighting as well as chairs, tables, and linens.

The venue can provide a list of recommended vendors, but its team is also amenable to accommodating whomever the bride and groom choose.

A spokesperson says, “Capable of welcoming several hundred event-goers, Meridian Convention Center is ideal for both large-scale and intimate events. Possessing 40,000 square feet of total event space, the property has six renovated ballrooms, all of which feature distinctive and delightful designs.”

Indonesia’s central bank insists it is independent. Investors want proof

Indonesia has spent months trying to persuade investors that its economy is on the right course. Officers raided the homes in Nong Lu, a Thai border village in Kanchanaburi province, which is the gateway to the Three Pagodas Pass in Myanmar – now a notorious hub for cyber scammers. Many scam centre leaders have...

Japan’s Okinawa drops opposition to hosting crash-prone US Osprey aircraft

Okinawa Governor Genta Koja said on Friday he accepts the deployment of US military MV-22 Osprey transport aircraft at the Futenma air station, reversing the southern Japan prefecture’s long-standing opposition to their presence. Previous prefectural governments, under governors critical of US bases, had opposed the deployment of the tilt-rotor aircraft since before they were first stationed at the base in 2012, citing safety concerns. Koja assumed the post of Okinawa governor late last...

Haze-hit Singapore parents call for Hong Kong-style school air con

Salon manager Alice Pang says her 10-year-old daughter has likened the visibility inside her classroom in Singapore to Malaysia’s Genting Highlands, but while the mountain resort is often shrouded in fog caused by water particles, her child’s active imagination may have been triggered by worsening haze plaguing the city state. Pang told This Week in Asia that her daughter, whose classroom did not have air conditioning, was already suffering from bad sinus, and the haze had made her eyes...

Indonesian governor’s Singapore trip adds fury to forest fire, haze crisis

East Kalimantan Governor Rudy Mas’ud, who was spotted having breakfast with his wife at the famous integrated resort Marina Bay Sands in a photo posted online on Sunday, said he travelled to the city state for a medical check-up. So, we are not going as far as sending a diplomatic note or taking legal action,” Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan told local media on Thursday. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said...
