Dec 17, 2020

DG ROM Computer Services audits and upgrades network security compliance for Triton Benefits & HR Solutions through server backups and cybersecurity enhancements to further accelerate their partnership with ADP.

Holmdel, NJ, United States - December 16, 2020 /MarketersMedia/ —

DG ROM Computer Services, a leading provider of Information Technology services that supports businesses of all sizes in the NY/NJ area. As a trusted Computer Support Service provider, there is no job too big or small for the DG ROM team.

Triton Benefits and HR Solutions recently reached out to DG ROM Computer Services’ owner, George Ancuta, to audit their office local area network and computer security procedures in order to maintain the highest level of network security compliance to meet the strict requirements for handling sensitive data for their partnership with ADP.

After evaluating the requirements of the project, the following course of action was taken to assure maximum cybersecurity and backups:

DG ROM put together a Disaster Recovery site with immediate availability to core personnel at Triton to maintain uninterrupted access to critical data in the event that a disaster happened.

The DG ROM Computer Services team configured cloud-based networks via Windows servers with Active Directory, security, and remote access for all users outside of the office through a VPN in the case of an emergency.

The plan DG ROM put in place would seamlessly spring into effect if something were to happen with the office and/or the data from the office. This would enable Triton’s employees to maintain all the accessibility to their data necessary to continue operating at full force with minimal downtime.

The existing data from the office is stored in a secure cloud network through cloud-based backup/restore software on a daily basis. The existing network and hardware were modified so that all existing networked computers activated hard drive encryption and procedures were put in place to make sure all future computer systems had HD encryption as well. Company network security policies were also enhanced regarding password change schedules and strength.

Having outdated software is a great security risk, so DG ROM upgraded all computers to the latest secure Operating Systems. DG ROM’s technicians also set up intrusion detection at a firewall level to protect sensitive information and provide detailed reporting of any attempts of remote hacking.

DG ROM worked closely with the COO of Triton Benefits Solution, Marv Tauber, to write the WISP (Written Information Security Policy) necessary to earn ADP’s IT security appliance approval.

As a result of the work conducted by DG ROM, Triton Benefits & HR Solutions & ADP partnership has accelerated tremendously.

Rokid launches ‘no man’s land’ retail experience with Hong Kong flagship store opening

When shoppers step into Rokid’s brand new flagship store in Hong Kong, they are greeted not by eager sales associates, but by glowing monitor screens and a robotic system waiting at the exit. In what the Chinese augmented reality (AR) gadget pioneer called an experiment in “no man’s land” retail, customers navigate the entire journey independently: testing artificial intelligence smart glasses, making payments on a screen and receiving their new devices directly from an automated system on their...

Pakistan risks deeper instability as political feud threatens counterterrorism efforts

Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign against Taliban insurgents risks being undermined by public resentment, following the dismissal of the opposition-led administration of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province. According to a statement issued by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s office after an emergency cabinet meeting last Sunday, the decision to impose temporary federal rule was necessitated by the “provincial government’s deliberate disengagement from the fight against terrorism”. The KP...

Mad rush for oxygen tanks, air purifiers in haze-choked Southeast Asia

Toxic haze from wildfires burning in Indonesia has spiked a demand for oxygen tanks and air purifiers across the region, manufacturers say, as they work the clock on equipment providing life-saving clean air. The months-long haze has blanketed parts of Southeast Asia, forcing school closures and fuelling a rise in respiratory complaints. Families are now rushing to buy devices to keep indoor air clean. At AA Alive, a medical equipment company based just outside Kuala Lumpur, employees were...

Southeast Asia’s ethnic Chinese traders feel the China squeeze

Almost every year, Kevin Stewart flies to China to find stock for his Indonesian businesses. But increasingly, the factories he visits are selling to his customers too, sometimes for less than they charge him. A data science manager in the tech sector by day, the Chinese-Indonesian entrepreneur also helps run home-living and pet-supply companies that sell to other businesses and direct to consumers, including through e-commerce platforms. Yet Chinese companies listing directly on Indonesian...
