Surrey, Dec 17, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Chatsworth House (Chatsworth), the stately home in Derbyshire and home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, is once again proud to promote its estate farm shop and gift shop products online.
The bricks and mortar shops at Chatsworth, that stock a range of estate and local produce alongside gifts and souvenirs, were already popular with both locals and visitors to the estate. The need to take this offering online was part of a larger Christmas push at the tail-end of 2019.
It had reported a significant uplift in online sales through the launch of its new e-commerce offering, working with marketing agency Digital Clarity to integrate Google Shopping.
With the unforeseen Covid-19 pandemic, Chatsworth was fast to adapt their e-commerce process and moved quickly to further engage with customers and patrons online.
Talking about the growth, Giselle Marino, Digital Marketing Manager at Chatsworth said, "We were looking to really grow the online side of the business and needed a partner that would understand both our organisation and ethos as well as help drive sales commercially. It was a move that has paid dividends last year, and again this year, in a highly competitive marketplace."
She added, "Having worked with Digital Clarity for over eight years, coupled with their skill set in e-commerce optimisation, together we planned an effective e-commerce marketing strategy to combat the challenges raised by the Covid-19 pandemic. The results so far in the run-up to Christmas are outstanding with best sellers including sheepskin rugs and The Edensor Hamper, a wine and sweet treats hamper".
Talking about the e-commerce campaign, Rachel Mepham, Head of Digital at Digital Clarity said, "The lead up to Christmas requires detailed planning, even with such a prestigious brand as Chatsworth. Being able to react to the government guidelines at the drop of a hat has been crucial to the success of the campaigns".
She added, "The key to e-commerce success so far has been the creative use of budget, in-depth analysis and efficient bidding strategies."
Digital Clarity & Chatsworth continue to work together to promote new products online, as well as promoting Chatsworth as a must-see attraction within government guidelines.

Airline employees in Japan are experiencing a surge in abuse incidents from customers linked to delays or cancellations of flights or from being refused boarding due to late check-in, according to a survey. Some 30 per cent of ground staff or cabin crew reported bearing the brunt of passengers’ anger over such matters in the past year, according to the survey by the Japan Federation of Aviation Industry Unions released last month, rising from 7 per cent in its previous survey in 2023. China and the Philippines recently traded accusations over the medical evacuation of a Philippine serviceman from a grounded naval vessel in the hotly disputed Second Thomas Shoal in the South China Sea. The incident has sparked renewed worries about potential armed skirmishes in a global artery of trade. But Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jnr was also quick to emphasise the economic dimensions of a major conflict. After a decade of rapid economic growth, the Philippines is facing...
Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on Saturday sent a ritual offering to Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo, regarded by Japan’s neighbours as a symbol of the country’s past militarism, at the start of its three-day autumn festival. Takaichi, known as a conservative who routinely visited the Shinto shrine before becoming prime minister a year ago, was unlikely to visit the shrine during the festival, a source close to her said, amid strained relations with China and relatively stable ties with South Korea. The...
In hindsight, it was only a matter of time before Esha Yusof joined the growing ranks of Malaysian shoppers being drawn to Chinese e-commerce giant Pinduoduo. Esha is a relative newcomer. She signed up in July, more than half a year after the platform launched in Malaysia – and has been smitten with it ever since. Rock-bottom prices, a vast range of products and seamless payments through a popular local e-wallet make it easy for the 32-year-old to spend an average of 500 ringgit (US$122) a month...

Alibaba Group Holding’s two major domestic online marketplaces, Taobao and Tmall, plan to greatly expand the use of artificial intelligence across merchants’ operations next year, a senior executive said, as the e-commerce giant doubles down on the technology to drive growth amid a challenging consumer landscape. “Starting next year, AI will comprehensively enter the internal enterprise workflows of merchants,” Liu Bo, president of Tmall, said at the company’s Singles’ Day media briefing on...
