NORTH LOGAN, UT Dec 28, 2017 – Gluten Free Consumers have long struggled to find nutritious, good tasting, bread, but finding whole grain options has been even more difficult until now. The easy to use, flavorful tradition of Vivian’s Live Again products continues with the addition of 100% whole grain bread products through its recent purchase of Tree Street Grains.
“I first became acquainted with Tree Street through a local food business group. I was very impressed that they had unlocked the secret of a 100% whole grain flour that was gluten free. Other whole grain GF flours have significant percentages of added starches, but this one was 100% grain and performed like whole wheat flour in recipes”, said Laura Huffman, owner of Vivian’s Live Again
“We buy 9 different grains then mill them ourselves”, explained Dave Cobia, former owner of Tree Street Grains. “That way we can insure that the flours are fresh and of the highest quality.”
Vivian’s started purchasing Tree Street’s 9 grain flour to use in its Ancient Grain Muffin Mix which was first introduced to consumers at the Salt Lake Gluten Free Expo in October of 2016. Then jumped at the chance to buy the company a year later. “I was delighted that Dave decided to sell to us when he wanted to retire,” said Huffman.
Recipes normally made with whole wheat flour like bread, pancakes, muffins and graham crackers, are especially good with Tree Street’s flour blend. Consumers can buy flour and use their own recipes or buy the pancake or muffin mix for an easy short cut. The muffin mix also makes a moist sandwich bread with a few direction changes, which are included on the package. “The whole family loves these muffins. My son can’t seem to get enough of them” said Heidi Smith, the mother of a boy with celiac disease.
Vivian’s will continue to offer the 9 Grain Flour Blend and a 9 Grain pancake mix under the Tree Street Grain label. Muffin mixes as well as new products currently in development will be sold under the Vivian’s Live Again brand.

Lead prosecutor Gerville Luistro told the...

It was a detour that saved his life. Malaysian Low Hock Meng, a 71-year-old veteran trekker, had set off on his own in Nepal. He wanted to explore the Tamang trail, Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda. For Singaporean civil servant Clare*, finding a suitable lifelong partner has been an uphill battle. Swiping on dating apps soon became a chore after multiple unsuccessful first dates, so when the government launched its own platform, the 32-year-old was all for it. “It’s like: ‘Why not?’, and I think it does have a few screening procedures so it might save you some trouble like having to deal with impersonators or people who do not match with their advertised profiles,” she said. Singapore...
Ripe mangosteen and rambutan hang unpicked from trees in eastern Thailand, where a shortage of migrant workers is forcing growers to decide which crops are valuable enough to harvest and which will be left to rot.
