Lafayette injury lawyer Blaine J. Barrilleaux is bringing back his annual scholarship, which awards one Louisiana high school senior $1,000 to put towards higher education expenses. From the large number of scholarship applicants every year, the local injury attorney chooses one student who shows academic promise and a strong drive to give back to the community.

Previous winners have put the money towards tuition, books, and the commute to and from campus.
The scholarship application consists of a brief essay, a bio, and list of extracurricular activities; for application details, see the Blaine Barrilleaux Scholarship page on the firm's website. Students wishing to be considered for the scholarship should have their applications in by May 30, 2022; the winner will be selected on July 6.
