Fyshwick, Australia - January 19, 2017 /PressCable/ —

Better Timber Flooring, a Timber Flooring Supplies company operating throughout Canberra and metropolitan Sydney, has today been recognized as being a front runner in the realm of products that save time and effort when laying timber flooring. This news coincides nicely with Better Timber Flooring’s recent recognition as a community favorite, due to saving historic reclaimed timber destined for landfill. Better Timber Flooring saw a better use of this historic lumber, so they hand remove this timber from the roof trusses, bearers and joists of building structures being demolished across Australia. The reclaimed timber is then loaded on a truck and returned to salvage centres where it is graded, has any nails removed and is cut to size. They then convert this timber into solid wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Better Timber Flooring is marketing the recycled timber flooring under it’s Earthwood Flooring brand whose tagline reads 100% recycled wood = 100% planet good.

Better Timber Flooring has been operating in the Timber Flooring market for more than 10 years and competes against notable businesses such as Irwin Tools and Australian Flooring Supplies. They have been able to make such a strong impression on the market and gain reputation by developing and bringing to market quality products that have a significant and positive impact on both their customer’s work process and ultimately the customer’s lifestyle.

Paul Gaunt, Better Timber Flooring’s Owner/Founder spoke about its recent recognition at the 2016 ATFA awards, expanding on some of the decisions and motivations that led the business to the level it’s currently reached.

“When Better Timber Flooring was founded, it was made abundantly clear we wanted to be the kind of company that was known as innovative timber flooring experts. One of the biggest challenges we faced was saving the historic reclaimed timber destined for landfill. Fortunately with some good people behind us, we’ve realised a better use of this historic lumber, we now hand remove this timber from the roof trusses, bearers and joists of building structures being demolished across Australia. The reclaimed timber is then loaded on a truck and returned to our salvage centres where it is graded, has any nails removed and is cut to size. We then convert this timber into solid wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. We were able to overcome every obstacle and really hit our stride.”

Paul Gaunt also mentioned Better Timber Flooring’s future plans involve extending industry access to the full range of innovative QuikTools products. “We have a number of independent tool shops carrying our products. The addition of Mitre10 hardware allows us to have a showroom presence in most capital cities. It’s the hope of the company that digital signage activations in these Mitre10 shopfronts will see uptake of our award winning timber floor laying technologies and we go on to realise the industry changing predictions made by Australasian Timber Flooring Association officials and board members at last years industry awards night.”

Better Timber Flooring plans to maintain its position at the forefront of products that save time and effort when laying timber flooring for years to come, building on its success, finding new ways to serve its industry, customers and the world at large.

Why Singapore’s PAP internal vote is the wrong place to look for signs of leadership renewal

Singapore’s ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) has retained its core executive team in what is seen as a cautious approach despite pledges of renewal, with observers pointing to ministerial promotions as a better indication of leadership plans. The PAP emerged from an internal election on Sunday with an unchanged slate for the Central Executive Committee (CEC), its highest decision-making body, as rising ministers Jeffrey Siow and Jasmin Lau failed to secure seats, though four remaining co-opted...

Philippines’ bounty on ‘Bato’ dela Rosa exposes Marcos’ dilemma in Duterte feud
