The company will be showcasing wedding gowns from its new ‘Forces of Nature’ collection. Creations incorporate select use of lace and/or beading to reflect the natural elements, with more minimalist designs also available.

In response to growing demand, Lotus Threads will also be showing some of its best-selling designs from ‘The Evolution’ and ‘The Mystical Garden’ collections. The company maintains direct relationships with bridal stores across the US, and wedding gowns being displayed were chosen for that market.
As with many sectors, the wedding industry saw a significant decline during the pandemic. The Wedding Report states that the number of weddings in 2020 dropped from a yearly average of 2.1 million to 1.3 million. However, the trade group also predicts that 2022 will see a resurgence, with approximately 2.5 million weddings predicted this year.
While the industry has returned to pre-pandemic levels, Lotus Threads has recognized that demand for unique and non-traditional gowns is also on the rise. The selection being showcased at Atlanta’s VOW Bridal & Formal Market reflects this shift, and offers retailers several new options.
The studio’s ‘Forces of Nature’ collection introduces natural elements, such as waterfalls, flames, and storms. Selective use of lace, beading, and ruffles aims to create a modern yet timeless appearance.

China’s push to manufacture more at home has widened its trade imbalance with Europe, intensifying pressure on European industries and policymakers to take action.
Despite Malaysia’s insistence that its long-standing non-alignment policy extends to cyberspace, analysts say the country’s reliance on American and Chinese technology could make such a stance difficult to sustain amid the rivalry between the two superpowers. Defence Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin said on Monday that Malaysia would “always remain neutral” in cyberspace, arguing that cyber threats could come from non-state actors and should not be viewed solely through the lens of geopolitical...

Sri Lanka’s anti-corruption authority arrested former first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa on Wednesday over allegations that her charity misused donations collected for a children’s hospital. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s government has revived long-dormant corruption investigations involving members of the once-powerful Rajapaksa family, which dominated Sri Lankan politics for nearly two decades. The 73-year-old wife of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa was arrested in Colombo and driven to...
Bhavya Gupta was a Grade 4 student when the 2012 horrific gang rape and murder of a medical college intern who was on a private bus in New Delhi, which sparked nationwide outrage and led to the execution of four attackers, prompted her teacher to mention the case in class to raise awareness about women’s safety. “My teacher gathered all the girls in the classroom and told us about it, and after that our school uniform changed from skirts to pants. I also remember adults around me talking about...

Monsoon floods in Thailand have killed 60 people since mid-September, officials said, as surging waters exact an increasing economic toll – destroying homes and crops, killing livestock and flooding factories. Bangkok buckled at the end of September as 300mm (11.8 inches) of rain – around one month’s worth – hit its creaking drainage system over just three days. The floodwaters have largely retreated from the capital, giving city officials crucial breathing space to clear the stinking,...
China’s open-weight artificial intelligence models are taking off globally, but much of the money they generate is flowing to third-party providers rather than the companies that create them, according to a new study. Developers including DeepSeek and Moonshot AI make their model weights – essentially the “brains” of their AI systems – freely available for download. This strategy, which has accelerated global adoption over the past two years, allows other companies to run the models on their own...
The recent arrests of 11 suspected terrorists by authorities in Indonesia underline how terrorism remains a persistent security challenge, with analysts warning that militant networks are communicating online through smaller and decentralised cells despite stronger enforcement. The Indonesian National Police’s counterterrorism force, Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88), said on Sunday that 11 suspected terrorists had been arrested in raids across West Java, Central Java, Central Sulawesi, South...
