Texas-based Flight College (844-321-5679) announces its career pilot training program, which teaches upset prevention and recovery instruction as a built-in component of the course.

Terrell, United States, October 26, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Flight College, a UPRT and career pilot flight school serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area, has announced its upset prevention and recovery training program, offered both as a built-in phase of its career pilot program and as standalone instruction for certified pilots and flight students.

The need for this kind of training is well documented, says the team at Flight College. The Fatal Flight Training Accident Report 2000-2019, produced by the Air Safety Institute and Liberty University School of Aeronautics, found that loss of control accounts for 54 percent of fatal instructional accidents, most of them stall and spin related, and recommends specialized upset prevention and recovery training to improve safety. The FAA's Airplane Flying Handbook calls loss of control in flight the leading cause of fatal general aviation accidents in the United States and notes that upset recovery skills are perishable and, therefore, need continuous reinforcement.
For students on the career pilot path, Flight College builds that reinforcement into the learning process. The newly announced program takes pilots from zero experience through commercial certification and flight instructor ratings toward airline transport pilot minimums, and UPRT arrives in the second phase, alongside the instrument rating. Training near Dallas-Fort Worth airspace also gives students radio work and experience at uncontrolled and grass-strip airports.
Instruction takes place in the school's Grob 115D2. The Grob 115D2 seats instructor and student side by side, a layout the school says lets instructors watch scan patterns and control inputs directly and correct problems before they escalate. Furthermore, the curriculum keeps upset recovery distinct from aerobatics, which the school offers as a separate track.
Certified pilots and students can also enroll in UPRT on its own, explains Flight College. The school's curriculum has three tracks: basic spin recovery and unusual attitudes, designed for private pilot students and flight instructors who need spin endorsements; comprehensive UPRT for commercial and corporate career-track pilots, covering wake turbulence encounters, instrument-conditions unusual attitudes, control failures, and recovery techniques aligned with FAA advisory circulars; and introductory aerobatics, including aileron rolls, barrel rolls, loops, Cuban eights, and hammerheads.
Enrollment requires, at minimum, a student pilot certificate with a solo endorsement or a private pilot certificate or higher, plus a current FAA medical certificate.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s re-election should provide continuity for the country’s trade push into Southeast Asia, analysts say, as Vietnam and Indonesia pursue preferential trade agreements with Mercosur, the South American bloc in which Brazil is the largest economy. But better access to Brazil and other Mercosur markets is far from assured, with trade experts pointing to difficult negotiations over tariffs and agricultural access, as well as political differences within...

Japan wants a more united and proactive Southeast Asia as it sees Asean as a bulwark against an intensifying great-power rivalry, analysts say, while uncertainty over Washington’s long-term Indo-Pacific strategy has deepened Tokyo’s concerns about the region’s future. A flurry of meat seizures across Thailand and Vietnam has raised fears of animal-borne diseases devastating regional livestock populations and unsafe food ending up on consumers’ plates. Driven by rising energy and logistics costs, unscrupulous suppliers have targeted restaurants and wet markets desperate to protect margins by sourcing cheap, unregulated cuts – even those past their expiry date or tainted with disease. On October 21, police in Vietnam’s southern province of Dong Nai dismantled a...
